We are jumping into the stressful yet exciting adventure of building our new home! We have been in the process without anything actually happening for over a month now. April 24, 2020 we sold our home, spent seven hours shoving all our stuff into storage, and moved in with my parents. On June 19, 2020 they finally broke ground! We couldn’t be more excited. I have already had many sleepless nights dreaming of what I’m going to do with this blank canvas once it’s done, and so has my husband!

All they’ve done so far is dig the big hole, but that was enough to get us dreaming again of everything we want to do to make this house our home.
Charlotte followed John all around helping him measure (what I don’t know) and had so much fun playing in the dirt and climbing the hills.

Not much to report on this week, but hopefully when we go back next Sunday more will be done. I am going to do a weekly post and this above picture is going to be the view I take every week to show the progress. That way, we can keep a family photo journal of our home being built, the home we plan to stay in for many, many years to come, the home we plan to raise our kid(s) in before we send her(them) off into the world!
