Alexandra Sandbach
Interior Decorator & Author
I’ve had a passion for home decorating for over 15 years. I studied Interior Design at Purdue University before discovering another passion during an elective creative writing class; writing fiction novels. I’ve been writing and publishing fiction, as well as designing a few guided journals, for the past eight years. Now that I have a firm grip on that part of my life, I feel like it’s time to go back and pursue my first love and help families bring out the beauty in their homes. It wasn’t until my husband and I decided to build a new house and I was given a blank slate to play with that I realized my passion for creating beautiful, functional, unique rooms was still in me. It was my wonderful (and extremely DIY handy) husband who encouraged me to take a risk, make the jump, and start my own home decorating company.
I’m originally from Valparaiso, Indiana; born and raised. In my late teens I became a wayfarer and lived all over the country including Hawaii, California, Texas, Florida, Illinois, and Virginia. While traveling, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in English in pursuit of becoming an author. After I graduated, I joined the United States Navy as an electrician. I thought it was the perfect way to learn a new skill, gain some life experience, and travel the world, but a back injury sent me home early. Not long after, I had my beautiful daughter and made my way back to Northwest Indiana. For a long time it was just me and Charlotte. We had a lot of fun making our first apartment our home and decorating to fit our unique tastes. During that time, I met my husband, John. I fell in love, and so did my daughter. Three years later, we are living happily ever after, my daughter is five (and a half!) going on fifteen, and we’re at a point in our lives where some big changes are necessary. I have completed my Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing, which helped me learn so much about all that goes into starting up your own business and making it successful. That, combined with the dream, love, and encouragement I talked about earlier has brought me to this point of wanting to help you breathe life back into your home.

John Sandbach
I have proclaimed my husband the king of DIY and handiness. He is not in the construction field, but he sure knows how to do a lot when it comes to fixing up a home. Since he was 21 he owned a house and continued to improve it over the span of 17 years. He installed slate/tile and hardwood floors, painted the entire interior, built and installed custom cabinetry in the garage, installed window treatments, built a theater room, installed recessed lighting, installed and synced all our smart home devices including a Nest thermostat, SmartLock for our front door, Ring doorbell, Google Home, Google Home Alarm, Hue lights, and Smart Outlets, caulked the bathroom and kitchen, patched holes, installed a backyard deck and pool, and oh so much more. I get tired just reading the list of all he can do, he’s that good! With his help, I know we can beautify your home at a price that won’t break the bank.

About Revivify Home Designs
I’m an independent contractor. I do all the consulting, planning, designing, and decorating on my own while working closely with my clients. My husband helps me with the installation and heavy lifting on the big day, which helps to bring you savings in labor costs.
I chose “Revivify” after conjuring many, many lackluster names. Finally, I did what every good author does and broke out the thesaurus. I wanted a name that spoke to my mission of bringing out the beauty already there and of breathing life into a home. Typical words like restoration, rejuvenation, and revitalization came up but none of them felt right. I kept clicking and scouring until I landed on Revivify. My first thought was, “that’s fun to say,” and my second thought was, “hey, this could be something!” Usually when I get that gut feeling I have to run with it before I second guess it. And that’s how Revivify was born. A little dream, a little love and encouragement, and a little thesaurus.
Our grand opening is November 2020 but if you are in need of our services before then, please still call and we’ll see if we can help you sooner.
